Bring on football season!

Football season is underway and we’re proud to be providing medical standby at football games at high schools and universities in the lower valley.

As a full-contact game injuries are common in football. Equipment and experienced coaches can reduce the risk of injury, however when an injury does occur having an ALS medical team comprised of 1 Paramedic and 1 EMT onsite can reduce the risk of the injury becoming more serious. A paramedic and EMT together can deliver life saving treatment and if hospitalization is required, they can hand-off to emergency services with treatment already underway.

The most common types of injuries are strains, sprains, bruises, fractures, dislocations and concussions. An ALS medical team onsite with equipment and drugbox can treat these injuries as they occur, making a safer environment for the players.
